HIV Preceptorships

The South Carolina HIV Clinical Training Center offers one-on-one experience in HIV care for health care professionals who are new to HIV care or desire skill updates or refreshers.

Designed for health care professionals

Individualized clinical experiences are provided for:

  • advanced practice nurses
  • nurses
  • oral health professionals
  • pharmacists
  • physicians
  • physician assistants


Results-based learning

Focus areas of training include current therapies in HIV treatment, initiation and management of antiretroviral regimens, key drug interactions and side effects, and adherence counseling interventions.

There is no fee for this training. Limited assistance with travel expenses may be available for eligible clinicians.

Application

Preceptorships will take place at the Immunology Center Clinic at Prisma Health in Columbia.
