We take your right to know seriously and want you to be fully aware of the requirements to receive financial aid. In return, the financial aid office asks that you provide us with information about other forms of assistance not offered through our office that you may receive.
Funding is never sufficient to meet the total needs of all students, but we make every effort to assist all students. If you submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid with all requested documents by April 1 of each year, you will be considered for the best financial aid award package available.
Fees are calculated each semester after you register for your courses. Your financial aid is automatically applied toward your student account.
Federal regulations require that students successfully complete course work within a reasonable timeframe to maintain eligibility for financial aid. The financial aid office must monitor your progress toward your degree.
Students with criminal convictions are subject to eligibility restrictions. Both federal and state aid eligibility could be affected.
Undergraduate certificate programs at USC provide valuable skills and opportunities for students. However, these programs and their associated courses are generally not eligible for Title IV federal financial aid.
The U.S. Department of Education requires institutions to monitor and address possible abuse in the Title IV student aid programs.
