Who has access to the system to roll these evaluations out in the school/college?

The high level process is:

1. Your unit will download the file with all of the courses.
2. The unit will update evaluation start and end dates as well as if you want the course evaluated.
3. The unit will drop the file in a designated location and it will be loaded into Explorance Blue.
4. Explorance Blue will send instructor emails to select instructor-specific questions and survey link to students based on evaluation start and end dates.
5. Links to reports will be sent out after surveys are completed and after grades are submitted.

NOTE: one part of the process that is different from Class Climate is the instructors/TAs who will be surveyed. Explorance Blue uses the role in Blackboard to select those who are surveyed. If an individual has Instructor or TA in Blackboard, then they will be surveyed. The Blackboard team has created another role called Limited Instructor to allow individuals to have full access to a Blackboard class but not be surveyed. This is very helpful for lab courses where there may be an instructor who assigns the lab to TAs or other instructors but should not be surveyed.

How does a college or unit add questions to the survey to adhere to accreditation?

Units will need to provide the Explorance Blue team with the list of the questions, and it will be added to the master survey.

Will faculty get to provide feedback on the core questions? 

The ten core questions are set at this time. They were established by the Faculty Senate's InDev commitee and the Provost’s Office. A governance team is being develop to accept feedback and suggestions moving forward.

Do directors get to see the two instructor-specific questions?

At this time, yes. These questions should not be used by anyone but the instructors, but they are on the Individual Report to which the department head/dean or unit coordinators have access.

Will there be campus training on the new system for faculty?

We do not have any official training yet as the pilot team is working hard to get all items addressed. There are two quick reference guides that have been produced for instructors. There will be more content in the near future as the Explorance Blue team has time to develop it.
