Carter Frahm

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Carter Frahm is a PhD candidate in the Spanish
                                 language and literature program. Carter received her BA in Spanish language and literature
                                 at James Madison University in 2021, studying in Buenos Aires for a semester. 
                              
                              Carter’s research interests include the representation of disability in Latin American
                                 literature and film, food studies and its connection to disability studies, and human
                                 rights advocacy in response to the military regimes of the late 20th century in the
                                 Southern Cone.
                              
                              Carter has taught SPAN 109, SPAN 110, SPAN 122, and SPAN 210 for the Spanish department,
                                 and she hopes to pursue a career in academia in the future.
