Jane L. Sumner is Professor of Political Science and Donald S. Russell Professor of Contemporary American Policy in the Department of Political Science. She researches political economy and research methods. Her political economy interests focus on the intersection of business and politics, as well as the consequences of economic globalization. Her methodological interests focus on measurement of key concepts of interest. She's presently writing on a book about the role of small business owners in American civic and political life.
