Background

Katie Perkins earned her PhD in Psychology with a quantitative concentration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in the area of Developmental Psychology. She works to promote child and youth well-being and educational outcomes through research and evaluation primarily in three areas: 1) Learning, motivation, and engagement, with an emphasis on affective and cognitive developmental processes in schools and other educational settings; 2) Systems and practice capacity development strategies in early childhood and school behavioral health (e.g., needs assessment, resource mapping, coaching, consultation, and technical assistance); and 3) Early childhood, education, child welfare, and mental health collaboration.
