2026 Leadership Award Winners
Erinn Rowe ('19 MBA), CEO, Harvest Hope Food Bank
Erinn’s leadership at HHFB was forged long before she stepped into the CEO role. She
joined the Board of Directors in 2015, quickly emerging as a trusted and strategic
voice. When the organization faced its most destabilizing moment (the untimely passing
of the sitting CEO during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic) Erinn was serving as
Board Chair. In this time of grief and unprecedented food insecurity, she didn’t hesitate.
She stepped forward with steadiness and vision, guiding the organization through crisis
operations, emergency meal distribution, and a full executive transition.
Under her leadership as Board Chair and then as CEO, HHFB scaled its disaster response,
ensured continuity of services across all three branches, and stood as a beacon of
reliability for hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians experiencing hunger during
the pandemic’s darkest days. Since becoming Harvest Hope’s CEO in 2021, Erinn has
guided the organization through extraordinary growth and transformation, implemented
LEAN systems to reduce waste, and engaged third-party experts to cultivate a workplace
culture grounded in excellence, equity, and purpose. Erinn is a connector, mentor,
and visionary force in South Carolina’s nonprofit landscape.
Through her leadership, annual food distribution has increased by more than 50 percent
(from under 20 million to over 30 million pounds), providing more than 25 million
meals to neighbors across 20 counties. Programs like the Backpack Child Feeding initiative
now serve more than 47,000 weekend meal kits per year to children who would otherwise
go hungry. She has expanded Mobile Markets to reach mobility-limited and rural communities,
increasing access to fresh food for those most at risk of hunger. She’s also spearheaded
transformative partnerships, like the Daily Harvest Kitchen at Transitions Homeless
Center, which now serves more than 600 hot meals a day with dignity. As a former banking
executive turned nonprofit leader, Erinn brings cross-sector fluency, strategic acumen,
and a moral clarity rooted in lived values. She mentors emerging leaders, elevates
women in leadership, and shapes the future of socially responsible business as a member
of the Dean’s Advisory Council at USC’s Darla Moore School of Business.
During her decade at Bank of America in roles spanning treasury management, business
development, and financial center leadership, she consistently exceeded performance
targets, stewarded international client portfolios valued up to $2 billion, and implemented
innovative digital commerce and API-driven solutions to streamline complex financial
systems.
Her earlier entrepreneurial work as the owner of a Young Chef’s Academy franchise
underscored her lifelong passion for food, health, and hands-on education. In fact,
while running Young Chefs, Erinn created a custom cookbook for St. Lawrence Place
as a fundraising tool and led healthy cooking classes for Title I schools and local
nonprofits throughout the Midlands, demonstrating her belief that food is not only
fuel but empowerment.
With an MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business and a Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt
Certification from USC, Erinn brings data-driven rigor to every initiative. Her work
bridges business, philanthropy, and public service in a way that is truly rare, deeply
needed in today’s social sector, and has already changed the entire landscape of the
hunger crisis across South Carolina.
Zachary Greenberger (’12 B.S. finance and management science), Chief Executive Office,
Nexar, Inc.
Zach Greenberger is a dynamic technology executive and innovator with more than a
decade of experience in supply chain, business development and mobility tech. Originally
from Short Hills, New Jersey, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Supply Chain
and Operations Management and Investment Finance from the University of South Carolina,
and an MBA in Executive Leadership from Johns Hopkins University's Carey Business
School (class of 2021). Greenberger began his career at Gexpro and IBM, where he focused
on strategic sourcing and supply chain.
He then joined Tesla in 2015, leading indirect procurement commodities and contributing
to the company's rapid scaling under Elon Musk. In 2018, he moved to Lyft, rising
swiftly through roles including Director of Global Supply Management and Vice President
of Strategic Business Development. He became Chief Business Officer in 2021, overseeing
new business development, platform integrations with brands such as Delta, Hilton,
Disney, and JP Morgan Chase, and designing the launch of Lyft Media to revolutionize
advertiser engagement for Rideshare.
In late 2024, Greenberger became the CEO of Nexar Inc., an artificial intelligence
inference and real-world data company leveraging billions of miles of real-world driving
data to advance vehicle safety, ADAS, and autonomous systems. He is also a prolific
inventor with more than 15 patents in emerging technologies — including software for
matching sounds to images. He is driven by curiosity, new technologies and a passion
for sustainable innovation in transportation. He currently resides in West Islip,
New York, with his wife, Kori, and his son, Hendrix.
Rose Buyck Newton ('94 MBA), Chairman, Bank of Clarendon
Rose Buyck Newton is a seasoned banking executive and civic leader with more than
two decades of experience in financial services, corporate governance, and community
engagement. She serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Officer
of the Bank of Clarendon in Manning, SC, where she has guided strategic growth and
governance, following earlier roles as Vice Chairman and Vice President and Marketing
Officer.
Rose is deeply engaged in higher education, financial services, and healthcare leadership.
She is Vice Chairman of the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees, where
she also chairs the Governance Committee, and serves on the USC Business Partnership
Foundation Board. In healthcare, she is Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Novant
Health’s Coastal Carolina Medical Center.
Her broader leadership roles across the state in the financial services world include
previous service on the boards of both the South Carolina Bankers Association and
the Independent Banks of South Carolina. She currently serves on the Board of Directors
of the South Carolina Bankers Association Bankers School. She is a 2001 graduate of
Leadership South Carolina, a member of the 2017 Liberty Fellowship Class of 2017,
and is a 2024 Furman University Riley Institute DLI Fellow.
She is the proud mother of two Darla Moore graduates and has another junior enrolled
at the University of South Carolina. She is the wife of 28 years to Representative
Weston Newton, and they are residents of Bluffton, South Carolina.
Rose holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina, completed graduate studies
at Murdoch University in Australia, and earned her undergraduate degree summa cum
laude in Finance and Economics from Converse College, now Converse University.
