Research and Teaching Interests
Roger Newman-Norlund is a cognitive neuroscientist interested in the relationship between brain structure/function in (1) healthy aging and (2) stroke. Dr. Newman-Norlund's primary area of expertise is MRI brain imaging, a safe and non-invasive technology which can capture dynamic information about how the brain works. Dr. Newman-Norlund also develops teletherapy apps that can be used to remotely test/teach individuals with language impairments (e.g. aphasia).
