Background

Chase Bailey is a statistical and research analyst for the Children’s Law Center. He is an educational psychologist currently working on his Ph.D. in educational psychology and research at the University of South Carolina. Chase received a master’s in educational psychology from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s in economics from Brigham Young University. Prior to joining the Children’s Law Center, Mr. Bailey worked as an early child care researcher for the Child Development Research Center. Bailey has taught undergraduate courses on educational psychology for preservice teachers at the University of South Carolina and taught secondary level math courses. His research skills include geographical information systems analysis, macro data analysis, correlational and multivariate analysis, nonparametric statistics, structural equation modeling, and qualitative inquiry. His research interests center on developing evidence-based educational programs to promote adolescent academic motivation, critical thinking, and community belonging.
