Background

Ellison Smith holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Finance from Jacksonville University, a postgraduate certificate in Financial Planning and a Master of Accountancy from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Previous to joining the Darla Moore School of Business he was a Lecturer of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Coastal Carolina University from 2010 to 2022. Ellison has taught courses in Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Real Estate, Economics and Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and licensed general contractor. His professional experience includes public accounting, wealth management, and residential and commercial construction, acquisition and leasing.
